TERMS OF ENROLLMENT & CODE OF CONDUCT
ATTENDANCE / ABSENCES: Attendance is required. • Minimum one (1) 45-min. class on two (2) separate days per week. Sorry, no discount for missed days.
MISSED DAYS: Missed days for any reason can be made up within one week.
PICK-UP TIME : 4:00pm (Wed 3:15). Always arrive BEFORE dismissal to pick up your keiki.
Late Pick-Up Fee: $20 each 15 minutes.
Early Pick-Up: please let us know. Mahalo.
CANCELLATION/REFUNDS: If a child becomes too ill to participate, then a credit will be issued for the next session. Sorry, no refunds.
LATE REGISTRATION: Sorry, No Discount for Late Registration! Enrollment closes after the first two weeks of each quarter. Students registering mid-quarter will begin their classes at the start of the NEXT school quarter.

LOST/FOUND/DAMAGED: Maui Music Mission is not responsible for student's personal belongings. Please label your items clearly. Do not bring valuables, jewelry, video games, iPods, cell phones or similar items. Instruments or other performing props may be brought at the owner’s risk. Lost and Found items are donated to charity during school breaks.
Damage to Maui Music Mission instruments and equipment which is directly caused by misbehavior of the student may result in parents being held responsible for replacement or repairs. Accidental damage in the regular course of learning will be covered by Maui Music Mission.
CODE OF CONDUCT: Respect each other by practicing self control. Encourage honesty, responsibility, excellence, perseverance.
***Maui Music Mission reserves the right to dismiss a student from the program whose conduct is detrimental to the learning environment. Parents will be notified and we will seek alternative solutions before ending enrollment. Sorry, there are no refunds available.. Continued participation is decided at the discretion of the Music Director.
PAYMENTS & DISCOUNTS: Please authorize automatic payment of your monthly dues when you recieve your first invoice. Payment is due in full BEFORE the day of the first lesson. Mahalo!

PRACTICE: Start with 20 min. Every Day! Increase to 1 hour.Beginners may start with 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night. All keiki must participate and practice in order to improve• Students may be released who do not practice and who lack progress due to non-participation.SUPPORT: Parents SIGN your child's PRACTICE REPORT! Please acknowledge and encourage every musical thing your keiki do such as: Singing - Practice the songs they’re learning at music class; And also, acknowledge them humming, sing-song melodies, ...even songs on the radio! Tapping - Tap rhythmic patterns with hands, fingertips, pencils, straws, ...anything!Counting - Those are Beats! 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4. Space them evenly!Reciting - What can your keiki tell you about their music? Ask them to describe their uke (what are the parts? How do you hold it correctly? What is a strum?) What are the chords played in the song?And of course, consistent PRACTICE is a self-discipline that should be encouraged!Concerts & Recitals - Presentation is a huge part of music! CHECKING IN: Keiki line up to check in and receive their tokens. Tokens are used to buy snacks and prizes Uniform = 1 token Folder = 1 token Practice Report = 1 token Book = 1 token >>>BONUS TOKENS!!>>>Song Sheets and Charts organized in folder = +5 tokens!Music Theory Worksheets completed correctly = +2 tokens each!! FRIDAY ONLY: A completed and SIGNED Practice Report is worth 15 tokens! Lost tokens will not be replaced. I Agree to the Token Reward System
FIELD TRIPS / EVENTS: Periodically there are opportunities for students to perform at public and private venues on Maui. Past Field Trips have included: Queen Ka'ahumanu Center Sunday Concerts, KPOA Live Broadcast, The Cannery Mall, The Grand Wailea, The Westin Hotel, The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Lahaina Shores Condiminiums, Lahaina Senior Center, Waiola Chuch, Lahaina Baptist, Lahaina Christian Fellowship The Outlets of Maui and more. Advanced students took a trip to Honolulu in 2018 to observe a music competition and just have fun! Please give permission for your keiki to participate in periodic performances, concerts and field trips. You will be notified of specific event opportunities to participate in with us! PHOTO/VIDEO AND LIABILITY RELEASE The undersigned consents to the use of any photographs or film footage taken of this member for advertising, promotion, or any productions authorized by Maui Music Mission and its affiliates.I give my permission to Reuben or Ronda Pali to authorize medical treatment for my child in the event of an emergency. The parent/guardian gives Maui Music Mission permission to transport student in case of emergency.and hereby gives permission to the physician selected by the Music Mission Director to secure proper treatment for the student listed. I agree to reimburse Maui Music Mission for any cost it may incur in the medical treatment of the student member. I further agree to hold Maui Music Mission, including its affiliates and associates HARMLESS of liability in ANY and ALL circumstances regarding their supervision of my child.

We always promote clean hands and faces for healthy musicians! So in the event that one of our members or staff report that they have Covid symptoms or receive a positive covid test result, then Maui Music Mission will respond as follows:
Members and staff will be notified
Facility will close for 3 days
Extra sanitation will be ensured
Classes will be offered via Zoom
If there are no further concerns, then the studio will re-open. Otherwise we will repeat the process as needed.
Masks are optional inside the studio. Please be courteous and regard the personal space of others. Mahalo!
